Ammacunà is a cultural proposal dedicated to music listening. The aim of this project is to bring the listener closer to the Italian traditional music, Ammacunà, a word form rural dialect, connected to the work of mixing together different elements.
What is at first a necessary, obligatory action, soon becomes a possibility, a choice. The pleasure of the meeting takes over, and there is the opportunity of taking part into something so full of differences, hence, so fascinating.
As in cooking, quantities, varieties and origin of mixed ingredients can create wonderful flavors, to satiate the appetite, so, in music we can see some sort of sensory nourishing. And also in this case proportion among the ingredients, balance of the parts and variety of origins have great importance.
Ammacunà is also the title of the musical collection recorded in this cd. It's a journey through several Italian territories: Basilicata, where we can find the tradition of Viggiano harp players, Mollise, the lower part of Padana Plain and the North-East.
.
The musicians who took part in the project are:
Elisabetta Cannata
Massimo Latronico
Oliviero Vincenti

Claudio Morlotti
